Overdose Awareness Billboard Contest
Family Services, in partnership with the Montgomery County Commissioners and the Montgomery County Office of Drug & Alcohol, is proud to sponsor the 2024 Overdose Awareness Billboard Contest.
Students (ages 14–18) who live in or attend school in Montgomery County submitted original artwork for consideration. The deadline for submissions was March 17, 2024. See the guidelines below.
We need your help in selecting the winner! Click here to view all 51 submissions and vote for your favorite! Only one vote per person, please. Voting closes at Noon on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
ARTWORK GUIDELINES
- Submissions must show a positive message that discourages substance abuse (specifically highlighting drug use, overdose, and/or recovery) and encourages healthier lifestyles in our communities.
- Artwork must include the SAMHSA 24-hour national mental health and substance use helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
- Students cannot use photographs that include other people in their artwork.
- Artwork must be original. Students cannot use any copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos, or trademarked names of specific products.
- Students cannot use political references, images, or messages.
- Students cannot use inappropriate or discriminatory language or symbols.
- Team entries are not allowed.
IMPORTANT DATES
The deadline for art submissions is midnight on March 17, 2024.
Voting opens on March 25, 2024.
Voting closes at Noon on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
Winners will be announced in May 2024.
PRIZES
1st Place — $200 Amazon gift card and artwork will be displayed on various billboards across Montgomery County
2nd Place — $100 Amazon gift card and artwork will be displayed on various transit shelters across Montgomery County
3rd Place — $50 Amazon gift card
