Montgomery County Drug & Alcohol Prevention Project

The Montgomery County Office of Drug & Alcohol recognizes that there are many community action groups and agencies throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, working to prevent drug use and to create safer environments for our residents. We seek to support these local efforts by sponsoring, supporting, and providing guidance regarding effective ATOD-free (alcohol tobacco and other drug) programs, strategies and activities.

The 2018-2019 Montgomery County Drug & Alcohol Prevention Project provides a mechanism for these groups to network, share resources and ideas, and stay updated on Pennsylvania initiatives and funding sources. The Montgomery County Office of Drug & Alcohol provides prevention support services to these community groups through Family Services of Montgomery County.

Eligible agencies and organizations can apply for a maximum amount of $5,000 (some limitations apply) to implement activities that are specifically designed to prevent youth substance use and/or increase awareness of substance abuse issues in their target community.

Eligible applicants include private and public schools, PTAs/PTOs, police departments, recreation/athletic leagues, non-profit organizations*, or other organizations/community groups. Applicants that are non-profit or a community group entity must provide a W9 along with their application.

*Agencies currently under contract with the Montgomery County Office of Drug & Alcohol for prevention services are not eligible to apply.

Mini grant applications are received on a rolling cycle on a first come, first-served basis.
