Norristown Area CTC and Health Partners Collaborate on
Summer 2012 Recreation and Resource Guide for Norristown Area Youth

Guide features summer activities, events, camps, and important health tips

NORRISTOWN, PA, May 10, 2012 — Norristown Area Communities That Care for Youth (CTC) and Health Partners recently collaborated on the production of the Summer 2012 Recreation and Resource Guide. The guide features information on Norristown-based summer activities, events, camps, and important health tips from KidzPartners, Health Partners’ Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plan.

“Partnering with Norristown Area CTC each year allows us to share our good health message with the entire Norristown community and get the word out about the comprehensive health insurance that is available through our KidzPartners plan,” said Leyla Moreno, supervisor, community relations, Health Partners. “At Health Partners, we are committed to keeping children healthy during the summer months and all year long.”

Thanks to the support of Health Partners, 6,000 Norristown Area CTC Summer Recreation and Resource Guides were distributed to all kindergarten through sixth grade students in the Norristown Area School District, as well as community sites such as the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library and Greater Norristown Police Athletic League. The guide is also available at the Norristown Area CTC website.

“I would like to thank Health Partners for their generosity and continued support of our Summer Recreation and Resource Guide,” said Angela Bell, community mobilizer, Norristown Area CTC. “Their support enables CTC to reach thousands of Norristown area families with valuable information that promotes a safe and healthy summer for our youth.”
