Our kids are exposed to violence in their homes and in their neighborhoods. Children are often witnesses of violence and conflict that impact their daily lives. The effects of this exposure to violence often comes out in different ways including anger, depression, anxiety, acting-out, or social problems.

This FREE workshop will help parents/caregivers understand how children respond to violence, what behaviors/reactions they have, and how parents/caregivers can help them deal with these feelings effectively.

Family Services Needs Volunteers for Income Tax Program

POTTSTOWN, PA, January 6, 2012 — The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a free tax assistance preparation service provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) through Family Services, is seeking volunteers.  

Through the VITA program, trained volunteers assist low-to-middle income individuals and families in the preparation and electronic filing of simple income tax forms.
