Family Services to Offer Free Prevention Program for Pottstown Parents

POTTSTOWN, PA, January 6, 2012 — Family Services’ Meals on Wheels program is in need of volunteers to pack and deliver meals to homebound elderly and disabled individuals in the greater Pottstown area.

Meals on Wheels packing volunteers gather at Family Services’ Pottstown Office, 1976 East High Street, each weekday. There are two shifts to pack meals: 8-10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.-noon.  

POTTSTOWN, PA, January 6, 2012 — The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a free tax assistance preparation service provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) through Family Services, is seeking volunteers.  

Through the VITA program, trained volunteers assist low-to-middle income individuals and families in the preparation and electronic filing of simple income tax forms.  

EAGLEVILLE, PA, November 11, 2011 — To help meet the transportation needs of low-to-moderate income individuals in the greater Philadelphia area, Family Services has partnered with the Family Auto Group of Greater Philadelphia to offer the Keys to Success car loan program. In this innovative program, car loans are made available for used car purchases or repairs, even for those with poor or limited credit histories. Read more in the attachment below.
